Dear Parents and Students:
Get out your cold weather gear, winter is right around the corner! With that in mind, please remember that dance shoes are for the classroom, only. They should not be worn as street wear. Wet and sandy shoes are a hazard to students on the dance floor. Please carry your dance shoes in a separate bag when walking into the studio.
All of our students are working very hard. Staff members are constantly praising the students and their progress in class. We are always pleased to hear such wonderful reports.
The staff at Seven Star School would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season.

Thanksgiving
Seven Star School will be closed and not hold any classes from Wednesday, November 25, 2009 – Sunday, November 29, 2009. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Newsletters & Announcements
All newsletters, schedules, special programs, and other announcements are posted on the website. Newsletters and important announcements will always be distributed via e-mail. If you wish to find a past newsletter, you can view our archives on the website. If you feel you are not receiving e-mails, please check with the Front Desk to verify we have the correct address on file.
Studio Cancellations
Classes at Seven Star School are cancelled due to inclement weather only if we feel it is not safe for you and our teachers to be on the road. All closings for afternoon classes—classes starting at/after 4:00 PM—will be broadcasted on WHUD (100.7 FM) by 1:00 PM. Classes starting before 4:00 PM are cancelled if Brewster Central School District is closed. Closing announcements will be posted on our website's home page as well as distributed via e-mail. You may also call the studio at (845) 278-0728 ext. 7 for information. If, when calling, you do not get the studio's answering machine, it is very likely that the studio does not have power. In that situation, we advise you to check the website or WHUD (100.7 FM) for updates.
The 101 Dalmatians Tour
One of our own students, Gabriel Rush, will be appearing in The 101 Dalmatians National Tour. We will be attending the performance on April 25, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Madison Square Garden. The bus will depart at 10:00 AM and return at approximately 7:00 PM. Cost is $130 for a ticket, bus ride, and dinner. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Seven Star School Clothing
We are pleased to announce two new pieces of clothing to our dance wear collection! Seven Star School is now offering black fleece board shorts and red elastic flannel pants. Both items can be ordered using the attached Dance Wear Order Form.
An order will be placed on November 16, 2009 and the last order to guarantee arrival for the holidays will be placed on December 3, 2009. Please fill out the order form and mail or drop it off at the studio with payment attached. If the order is a gift, please indicate it clearly on the order form so the package is not given to your child during class.
Attendance
Although regular attendance is always important for student progress, it is especially important this month. Students will be measured for their recital costumes during November.
Costume
Costumes for our annual dance recital are ordered during the holiday break. Final costume payments are due on December 15, 2009. Costumes will not be ordered without full payment. Please put costume payments on a separate check. If you have not received a costume bill, or if you have any questions about the bill you received, please contact the Front Desk immediately.
